Playing Up/Down
Players may play up (i.e.: in a different age/grade) subject to meeting the requirements set by Rugby Ontario. The forms and relevant information can be found here: https://www.rugbyontario.com/playing-up-down-information/
Please note that if you wish to apply to have your minor player play up (or down) most notably to U12 intro to contact or U14 intro to contact please ensure that you notify the Minors Minister as soon as possible as arrangements need to be made for a qualified assessor to assess the player, preferably at the beginning of the season, given the amount of delay inherent in the process. You will also have to ask a medical professional to complete a form and those professionals may have limited availability.
No application is required for minor players to play down as it relates to flag rugby but an application may be required to play down as it relates to intro to contact.
Financial Support
There are a couple of sources of financial support to assist players in participating in sport. All are available on a first come/first serve basis and listed below in no particular order.
